FAQ'S

  • Q1: What happens if there is bad weather?

In the event of bad weather, each tournament has a backup wet-weather date. The most current information will be posted on the 'Schools Pickleball Playoffs' Facebook and Instagram pages, and all registered schools will receive an email if the event needs to be postponed or canceled due to weather.

  • Q2: What happens if a student is injured?

Each competition is equipped with a qualified first aide officer and first aid equipment. Injuries must be reported to SPP staff, and schools are expected to bring their own first aid kits. Players will be covered by Pickleball Australia Association player insurance. All players are required to sign in on arrival to the venue.

  • Q3: What is included in the entry fees?

Students can represent their school if the entry fee has been paid before the event. A court marshal will be present to assist with scoring and umpiring (although versing pairs may need to score their own game). Balls are provided, and paddles can be borrowed if needed. Access to first aid personnel is also available. Pickleball Australia Association player insurance is included in all registrations.

  • Q4: Do I need my own paddles?

While we encourage each player to have their own paddle, paddles will be available to borrow for the day.

  • Q5. Is there a canteen?

Some venues may have a canteen on-site; however, this is not the case for all. Players are expected to bring their own food and water for the day.

  • Q6: Is shade provided?

Limited shade is available to players, so schools are encouraged to bring their own shade (and chairs) for the event.
